    Aluminum roofing cover. Can be walked on.

    1.1 Basic Use:

    Designed for use over 3 foot, 3-tab composition shingles. Where codes limit the number of layers, this 37 lb./sq. product can be installed as a cover and avoids the otherwise mandatory tear-off. May be applied on new construction with 3-tab shingles.
    Withstands high winds and small hail. Use for residential and commercial. Shingles can be arranged in pattern for attractive design. MIN.2 - 12 pitch. May be used for siding.

    1.2 Limitations:

    Cannot be used in areas where there is direct salt spray. Must be installed directly over composition shingles. 3-TAB-COVER should not be used in areas of high abrasion or subject to mechanical damage. Not for use over highly deteriorated shingles.

    1.3 Composition and Materials:

    3-TAB-COVERS consist of 3003 or 3105 alloy aluminum, H254, or H24 or H38 temper, .019 gauge stucco embossed to .024. Fluorocarbon finish on face and wash coat on reverse. Several standard colors are available.

    1.4 Size:

    12.7" wide X 5.8" high. Exposed area is approximately 12" wide X 5" high.

    1.5 Colors:

    Natural Aluminum, White, Batalion Grey (Light), Slate Grey (Dark), Umber Brown, Rust Red, Roman Gold, Dark Forest Green. Also available in solid 12 oz. hard copper. 3-TAB-COVERS are stucco embossed and have a semi-gloss finish, except the solid copper.

    37 pounds, 240 shingles, 480 nails or staples. Copper weight 98 pounds.

    Expected to exceed 150 mph. N/T

    2.6 Wind Uplift Resistance:

    Expected to exceed 138 lbs. per square foot. N/T

    2.7 Hail Resistance:

    Half inch. Three inch without leaking.

    2.8 Leakage Resistance:

    Excellent.

    2.9 Fire Test:

    Can pass for Class A. Exceeds the shingles they cover.

    2.10 U.L. Listed:

    Not necessary if laid over U.L. Listed shingles.

    2.11 Life Expectancy:

    50+ years

    2.12 Recyclable:

    YES

    2.13 Accessories Needed:

    (3 only) Shingles. Hip/Ridge. Valley. (Drip edge on new construction)

    3. INSTALLATION

    Extremely easy. No special tools. REINKE SHAKE shingle is used on the hip and ridge of roof. No special accessories required.
    Must be installed over 3 foot composite, square cut shingles with nails or staples long enough to enter solid sheeting 3/8 inch. Color matched valley flashing and drip edge available. Use 50 year roof sealer where sealer is needed.

    4. AVAILABILITY & COST

    4.1 Availability:

    3-TAB-COVERS are generally shipped to any job site within one week of receiving the order in Hebron, Nebraska, U.S.A. Special orders and orders over 500 square of one color may be delayed up to 12 weeks.

    4.2 Cost:

    Cost varies with the price of aluminum. Installation cost is often lower than composition shingles. Cost over a 50 year life of 3-TAB-COVERS is considerably lower than composition shingles.     5. WARRANTY

    Proposed - In Process - Warranty
    50 year limited. Coating is warranted by the coil supplier for 20 years. Complete warranty will be available on request.

    6. MAINTENANCE

    Maintenance should not be required during the life of the warranty.

    Technical services, detail manuals, and color samples are available from Reinke Shakes Inc.

    8. FILING SYSTEMS

    Not required if used over a qualified shingle.
